ERIC SCHULZ is a marketing faculty member of Utah State University's Jon M Huntsman School of Business (July 2011-present). I previously taught at Brigham Young University and The University of Utah.
I bring real-world experience, cutting-edge marketing tools, and new insights to your marketing team. I honed my marketing skills over two decades working at some of the world's top consumer product companies -- Procter & Gamble, The Walt Disney Company, and The Coca-Cola Company. I also worked in sports marketing with the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Angels (minor leagues), XFL Football League and the Olympic Games (Atlanta, 1996). Now, as a marketing professor, I spend my free time researching and developing new tools that can help marketers succeed in today's ever-changing competitive environment.
My strongest skill is INNOVATION. As a founding member of the Procter & Gamble Invention Team, we created and launched 11 new products in a 12 month period. For over 25 years I have been a"Trained Brain" for my good friend Doug Hall who operates Eureka! Ranch in Cincinnati, OH, the world's top innovation center. I regularly work with Doug on his client projects who have included Pepsi, Nestle, Kraft, Cardinal Health, P&G, and other Fortune 500 clients. I have also consulted for eBay, PayPal, Campbell Scientific and others.
I am the author of two marketing books: "The Marketing Game, How the World's Best Companies Play to Win" (2002) and “The Smart Marketer’s Toolbox, The Latest Marketing Innovations and How To Use Them To Grow Your Business” (2012) providing a blueprint to create marketing plans blending the technological advancements of digital media and other platforms with tried-and-true branding strategies to create differentiation, attract customers, and accelerate sales.
